The Information Architecture study's form

Information architecture is constructive
The teaching focus is on design, implementation and evaluation with a basis in communication theory, primarily rhetoric and persuasive design.

Information architecture is problem oriented
Students solve real world problems stated by a network of responsive public and private enterprises.

Information architecture is result-oriented
From day one, the students start building a personal portfolio comprising assignments, process reports and reflections on how they build their competence in planning, and managing information architecture design, implementation and evaluation processes.

The master in information architecture programme comprises:

  • The rhetoric and ecology of information architecture (25 ECTS-points)
  • IT-technologies and techniques (15 ECTS-points)
  • Design of information architecture (25 ECTS-points)
  • Strategies for change (15 ECTS-points)
  • Optional subject (10 ECTS)
  • Master Thesis (30 ECTS)
